Part Time Janitorial Position (Clarksburg)

We are in search of an individual who is self-motivated, reliable, can follow direction, execute tasks, and work independently.

Compensation: $16-$18 per hour depending on experience

Employment type: part-time

Schedule: Saturday- Monday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm

Pay: $16 -$18 per hour

Job duties includes but not limited to:
Vacuuming, sweeping, dusting and mopping of floors in multiple areas. We are a large event venue and winery. Some areas of the property have the feel of a large warehouse. Must be able to Clean and sanitize bathrooms and restock supplies in bathrooms. Empty all trash cans throughout the property, recycle bins and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary. Dusting and cleaning of offices, desks and furniture that are not cluttered. Cleaning window sills and windows. Storing wedding and event furniture. Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean and safe condition. Watering plants and sweeping outdoor areas as needed. Power wash cemented areas. Buff indoor spaces.

We are located in the town of Clarksburg which is about 15 minutes south of the capitol. We are a business that houses wineries, produces wine and holds events and weddings.

Previous janitorial experience preferable!

Event Staff

Main Objective: Provide support for facility events & weddings held at Old Sugar Mill venue as directed by Old Sugar Mill management including customer service to visitors, guests, winery/internal staff and clients. Accomplished by:
⦁ Be available to be on-site during scheduled shifts. Must be able to work at least two weekends a month.
⦁ Coordinate with Old Sugar Mill event staff to quickly and correctly execute event layouts and breakdown within the time frame. This includes the set- up of tables, chairs, event equipment, linens, etc.
⦁ Work with the wedding planning team and vendors if help is needed (no food prep) ⦁ Warmly welcome guests and visitors for all events on site at Old Sugar Mill
⦁ Address concerns of wedding party and guests to ensure a safe and enjoyable event while honoring venue guidelines and rules.
⦁ Making sure all rental items are in designated areas at the end of the evening for rental company retrieval
⦁ Interact with Clarksburg Wine Company and other tasting rooms in a thoughtful and cooperative manner
⦁ Light janitorial when needed during events. Empty Trash bins, ensure restrooms are tidy.
⦁ Must be able to lift 50lbs from the floor- wedding and event days will require moving of tables and
chairs
Hourly Wage: $14-$15 per hour depending on Experience Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per year COVID-19 considerations:

Event Lead

Main Objective: Provide support for facility events & weddings held at Old Sugar Mill venue as directed by Old Sugar Mill management including customer service to visitors, guests, winery/internal staff and clients. Accomplished by:
● Be available to be on-site during scheduled shifts.
● Must be able to work at least two weekends a month mid afternoon to evening.
● Must be able to work at least two days a week during the day for office hours with mid-afternoon to evening availability.
● Coordinate with Old Sugar Mill event staff to quickly and correctly execute event layouts ( tables and chairs set up) and breakdown within the time frame.
● Work with the Wedding Coordinator & Facilities Coordinator to oversee events and lead event staff
● Warmly welcome guests and visitors for all events on site at Old Sugar Mill. Act as Event Host for Private Event Rentals, Corporate events, or Weddings.
● Address concerns of the wedding party and guests to ensure a safe and enjoyable event while honoring venue guidelines and rules.
● Making sure all rental items are in designated areas at the end of the evening for rental company retrieval
● Interact with Clarksburg Wine Company and other tasting rooms in a thoughtful and cooperative manner.
● Light cleaning when needed during events
● Must be able to lift 50 lbs from the floor- wedding and event days will require moving of tables and chairs
● Facilitate Property tours to weddings and event prospects.
Experience with:
Creating & Designing Event Layouts is helpful
Supervisory Experience a Plus
Customer Service Experience a Plus
Wedding & Event Sales Background a plus
Banquet Manager, Banquet Staff Experience, or Hospitality Experience a plus
Computer Skills such as Google Docs, Excel, Outlook, All Seated, Eventbrite, and Honeybook a plus.
Hourly Wage: $14-$16 per hour depending on Experience Opportunity for Advancement
